Mid Term US Elections
Lord knows I am not asking for your political opinions .
We are doing well to stay off that very volatile topic.
But How will the elections results effect the markets ?
Significant or Not ?
General Stocks ?
Gold Stocks ?

LOL!!!
I can speak for Gold Stock.
The leader’s theme is US going to be like Venezuela. What happen to gold price in Bolivar??? If he is correct???
Good question Fully. I really don’t know, but any pullback in the stock market may only be temporary until it becomes clear that the Fed has made a policy error. PM’s ? I’m looking for a good advance to develop here, but until or unless $1400 is taken out, it means nothing.
Noise.
It is complicated, but my best guess is that it will hasten the top in the stock market. The stock market was propelled first by Quantitative Easing combined with artificially low interest rates. The propulsion continued with reduced tax rates for corporations. Both Obama and Trump administrations pumped massive amounts of money into the economy via annual deficits. It was an ideal climate for a ten year run in stocks. The midterm election is likely to see the Democrats take control of the House of Representatives, and that simply says that corporations are far less likely to get more tax cuts or reduced regulations. That could put a damper on stock market enthusiasm
There are also some dark clouds on the horizon. The interest payments on the $21 trillion national debt will be taking larger and larger bites out of the annual budget, and tariffs will eventually hit the pocketbooks of the consumers, which will reduce their discretionary spending. You get the picture.
So, what I see is a topping of stock markets. And when stock markets pull back, the flight of money from them often flows into safe havens. Gold and silver are among the safe havens, and thus my read of the potential midterm election is that it is probably bad for stocks but good for precious metals.
That said, I have been wrong so often that even I don’t trust myself.
Great reasoned response Norwegian
Thanks
PS..Trust yourself
