   Good luck to any longs in Alta, I do not believe this company will ever create value for shareholders as progress is way too slow, and they create more dilution for salaries than value for shareholders. Maybe look elsewhere, GBR and WHN have far better high grade results than ALTA.

   Unfortunately Spocks Rocks have lost me a large amount of money. In the 18 months or so since investing. HUI has performed much much better. Many need to triple or quadrouple in value to get back to where I started. I’m not holding my breath.

     Like you, I have lost a ton of money on Spock’s rocks. And I see my Altamira has already lost all of today’s gains. Pathetic. I can say with confidence that I will not be renewing my Spock subscription when it expires at the end of this month. On a happier note, luckily I had a decent position in Westhaven Ventures (WHN), which announced great drilling results today. I sold a third of it when it was up over 70%, and will probably hold the rest for a little while. All that said, months ago I shifted most of my resources that were in PMs to cannabis stocks, so overall it’s been a good year.

   Fully agree, sometimes it looks like all juniors are better to avoid, but there are clearly some big winners, but this is just 5/10% of juniors at Max.

   I met Alta management, and was happy having sold my position as I felt progress would be non-existent. I do not have any Spock positions in my portfolio so I can not comment on that, but I do believe everybody must do its own Due diligence and take FULL ownership of any position, and do not think any newsletter writer will time entry and exit points for you. I love to read several newsletter writers to know what’s going on, but I rarely follow a buy advice as I prefer to buy ahead or some time later at a better entry point if I like the company.

   The only winners I found are MGG and SIL in the silver space, that both are sitting on very big high grade silver deposits. Same in gold, its all about near surface high grade gold like GBR, WHN (up 70% today!). Other places to look is Nevada, but far more difficult to find high grade stuff here.

   If no time to look for risky juniors, better invest in mid cap producers or gold developers like SBB, ITR,FPC, OSK that already have a solid deposit.

     Sage advice Alex…it seems you really do your own DD.

     The Micro miner space is very risky by nature and so many are very seductive…as they have good “potential”

     Many newsletters are devoted strictly to this sector but as you say …timing is everything

       No problem.

       Additionally, I would like to say never fall in love with a stock, the best profits can be made being contrarian. Remember GT gold, a real discovery stock in 2017, lost 80% and now up 300% again. That’s why I believe it is very sound to take profits when a stock is up big like WHN or GBR. Some say WHN will be the next Aurelian, maybe, but it never hurts to take some money off the table.

   Whats most concerning is the lacking news flow indicating
   Nothing is happening. The thought does come up
   As to what is going on with these companies ?

   Waiting … for higher gold price?….a buyout? Or just collecting salaries
   Certainly does not look positive right now.

   IMO all the rocks are just a derivative of gold price and need a rising gold price for them to perform. I took a position in Cannamex because of the crypto token but it is going nowhere fast!

     While the price of gold is an overall factor in the sector, there are numerous small explorers that nonetheless have done fabulously. They unfortunately were not among Spock’s Rocks.

     I believe when taking a position (initial) you should have a strategy of adding on weakness if situation warrants it and exit later on when stock is fully valued or fundamentals have deteriorated. All this should be based on company progress based on initial expectations and changes to possible valuation with company progress. If this sounds all too complicated, better invest in Large cap stock that follow 100% price of gold, so less things too worry.

     Of course it is always fun to risk some money on small stocks, this is what I do with exploration stocks with no proven ounces, but I only risk 1 to 2% of my capital maximum for a single trade, otherwise risk is too high.

     I personally have maybe 6-8 risky bets, but these represent max 10-12% of portfolio, the rest is for developers and producers.

   I think the jury is still out on Spock’s Rocks, I wouldn’t count him out yet.
   We’ve seen these things make big moves in short order and I do still believe there is a method in his madness.
   I haven’t renewed my subscription yet either, but only because I want to stretch out my subscription time.
   I’ve paid attention to his strategy for a couple of years and as he keeps saying, a marathon not a sprint.
   Maybe if you are looking for a year or two of returns, it doen’t look so good, but we’ll see what happens in the marathon.

       Some of them do expire (get de-listed and end up worth almost zero). I take your point though 🙂
