Trump says he wants rates to stop rising because it’s raising the dollar but the dollar won’t be able to be stopped…
It will rock offsetting any tariffs causing commodity deflation and foreign goods deflation in the dollar, along with ROCKING stock markets and good housing prices.

Finally, the market dictates short rates (in context of Fed OMO’s), and Fed merely decides WHEN to adjust its target rate (see “effective FFR”) in response. Watch the 90day. THEN, if short rate move too far (which is Trump’s stated concern) it actually has the likely effect of LOWERING long rates. Which is what really drives the economy (LIBOR and almost everything keys off 10yr)
