COT for Gold as of Last Tuesday (July 17th)
This table has its own message.
“Last Friday’s CFTC Report also showed the level of liquidation on the net commercial short position is in the neighborhood of other large liquidations (as a percent) and the current net short position is also at levels where previous liquidations ended. The 25-week liquidation period was also similar to a couple of other historical (26-week) observations. Compare the last line to all the previous above it. Prices must start to provide some positives if gold is bottoming.”
This is a really interesting table.
I’m gonna be eagle eyed and say that I think the first liquidation on the list lasted only 4-5 weeks and not 10, since it is between as we would see it in Little Britain, the written backwards American dates of 3/14/03 to 4/15/03! 🙂
