Drifting, just like gold and gold stocks.
Stocks go up pushing up interest rates, down goes gold. Interest rates going up blocks stocks going up. Stocks go down and bond purchasing goes up forcing bond yields down. Bond yields go down, gold drifts up.
For years now Lacy Hunt has been steadfastly making the point that the economy cannot sustain these elevated rates and they will come down in time.
