Technically there is a legitinate $2500 target which comes out of several of the charts I’ve posted over the years. It’s a target for the year 2026 though. Downside in my view is limited to the upper $1200’s, but arguments can be made for $1000 or less.
Nothing in reference to Gundlach rather to the exponential supply in FIAT & Debt since the 70’s linear or Log comparisons still interchangeable?
IMO the Gold Bull peak of 81 when measured in actual purchasing power of an 81 $US was Epic. Gold Bull peak in 11 impressive. Does the LOG scale of your chart actually coincide in the same exponential growth as the monetary system? The $US from what I’ve read was designed for a 100 yr lifespan with a 2% inflation rate. If the world is beyond the expiration date of the $US and coupled with parabolic money growth what comes next?
As far as Gundlach’s opinion it’s appreciated as much as everybody else’s, does it hold water? We shall see. Just as we shall see if anyone else’s investment strategies hold water in the next financial day of reckoning.
How relevant are $Gold chart comparisons with respect to time I guess is my point. Charts from the 70’s and 80’s are maybe more linear with respect to Log and Exponential portions of charts that may exist today? Time may supersede price theoretically lol.

Thanks very much, indeed, Jordan and Northstar. Jeffrey Gundlach is a brilliant thinker and I always want to hear he says, too.

GLTA
If you look at Gold’s relationship to money supply, the S&P 500, etc, it definitely can get to $10,000 before an ultimate top.
Gundlach says Gold can go up $1000 based on the pattern. Thats incorrect.
Point taken.
