Would it depend on party in power?
And would nationalization be the final straw that splits the country?
But its not like oil centered in Alberta.
Mines are in BC, Ontario and Quebec too.
How does this look to those of you closer to home?
In extremis, a government and political class will do *anything* to prevent being overthrown, including everything you have suggested and more.
Sure they will nationalize the mines…deep storage gold !
