Two backtests at the same time. One the downsloping support going back some 33 years, the other the support from the previous three highs (resistance) 2009-2011:
What’s not to love about the dollar? And what happens to gold if the dollar support holds up?
One has to admit that chart has merit Avacado Pit.
Its not a popular view here as you know.
But can we really just ignore those 2 support rails.
Is there any fundamental reason for the $USD to go up?

Maybe. I realize logic does not always work, but logic says with the record debt and the anemic economy, Trump notwithstanding, debt liquidation is more likely than not, going forward, and when that happens dollar demand is going to soar.
If history (cycles) hold true, this is nothing more than a temporary reprieve for the dollar.
