xonsidwring stocks getting killed what do you think
huh ?
Don’t text and drive. Lol
Considering stock market down big. Fact miners are up is positive
Maybe it’s cuz mining stocks are…….wait for it………………stocks.
Silver underwhelming. Huge day but non compliance from BOB
Early days yet Fully, my thinking, hopefully not hopium, is this rally has weeks to run yet.
This is my thinking as well. None of the miner/metals ratio charts are suggesting breakdowns. IMO, many miners are getting thrown out with the general stock market bathwater.
Preparing for a bigger move ahead – gold is pulling the elastic band, with miners on the other end this time. Waiting for the ‘whoosh’…
nobody got anymore spare cash to buy more. Saw one chart of margin accounts and at record highs. Myself am trying to get out of some losers to re organize and thus some sell offs. The crowd just ain’t interested enough yet. I’m sure cnn will write some more good stories to fuel the fire.
Some gold explorers declining today,as the effect of weaker overall stock market has its effect. I remember some cycle analyst forecasting higher gold but lower gold stocks due to market volatility.
The people getting killed in the Dow massacre will figure out it is time to switch to the miners.
Selling miners now to meet margin calls.
Maybe general stocks are only selling off into a temporary bottom. Gold stocks very weak today, so we may be heading for top in gold this weak or next, especially with non-confirmation in silver. I believe gold will reverse lower the next month into June.
If mister market (whatever he is) actually is that good a tactician, I’d expect exactly that kind of behaviour. After all, there’s still a lot of quite hesitant bulls sitting on the sidelines. Get their attention by a steep move up, let that fizzle out, followed by a shallow pullback – faking weakness in bearish sentiment/energy, before resuming the ascent rather decisively for a couple of weeks to get all the folks still watching a seat on the band waggon, then crushing them all. At least, that is what I’d be trying.
If we do not face some seriuos crosswinds prior to expiration at month’s end, then this kind of scenario may be well in the works.
