Just some food for thought today.  No charts.  As technicians, we can often get lost in the sea of charts and technical theories and forget the “fundamentals”.

Someone once suggested that, as a society, we are too dependent today upon technology.  For example, what would happen if the grid went down?  We are simply too reliant upon other people smarter than us to fix the problem!

The question was asked:

If I left you alone in the woods with an axe, how long before you could send me an email?

Which begs the question:

If I left you alone in the hills of Mexico or Peru or Nevada with a pick and shovel, how long (and how much would it cost) before you could mint me a 1-oz. Silver coin?

Would it cost you more than $20 in time and expense?

More than a “bitcoin”?
