USD overstays it’s rally??
Analysis by Silver Analyst on 6-8 year cycle of USD since 1970’s.
Note the table in article shows every time USD was up 44% or so in 6-8 year cycle it changed to bear trend.

The Dollar Bull Overstays Its Welcome
Looking at the 45 year chart for the USDX, it is clear the dollar has been on a downward trajectory interspersed with some rallies since 1985. As of 2008, the dollar has been in an 8 year rally. It is no coincidence that gold and silver have struggled during this time and precious metal investors will be wondering when the dollar will resume its 31 year bear?
I must admit, I’m more drawn to these sorts of long term trends and fundamentals than short term ups and downs.
Is the currency chart on this page incorrect?

I see a 9 year 6 month rally in the dollar from mid 1992 to the end of 2002.
Same period from March 2008 going forward says it tops out third quarter 2017.
We all know cycles are never exact, plus the fact that it broke a very long term declining trendline to the upside argues for a terrific rally to 110 or even 120. I’m expecting it to top out in 2018, along with the economy.
Gold/Silver will not do well in that environment.
