I’ve especially enjoyed SurfCity’s work and am increasingly interested in cycles. Knowing where we are in the cycle is of fundamental importance and helped me keep hold* of my positions during the recent downturn rather than sell everything when all the H&S charts seemed so gloomy. All the other posters Hochschild listed are also ver useful reading to see different points of view.
* NB: I am not saying those who sold do not do the right thing and take gains when they did. It’s just that I don’t have time to trade regularly and am comfortable basically sitting provided the trend is up, even with a few bumps. I will not, however, let me portfolio lose massive % of value!].
