   Here is a fact very few gold bugs seem to see:

   Gold bull from 1970 to 1980, 10 years

   Gold bear from 1980 to 2001, 21 years

   Gold bull from 2001 to 2011, 10 years

   Gold bear from 2011 to 2032, 21 years?

   If you look at the bull market of the 70’s (I was very involved with it) it was up until the fist significant correction in 1975, it dropped until mid 1976, then resumed the bull, peaking in January 1980. What followed was a double top, then a decline, then a rally, then another decline.

   Fast forward to 2011. Double top, a decline, a rally, and now the start of another decline.

   If the past is any judge of the future I think we will go down from here.

     In the past I have put this thesis in chart form. It is an ugly scenario . BUT it is valid. Thanks for the reminder Avacado Pit.

     I will do a chart for you.

   Forgot to mention the 2008 correction, similar to the 1975 correction. Patterns repeat.
