$USD
PM bulls are likely less concerned about the direction of the USD than they were in the first quarter 2016. After all, the monetary metals are moving up in ALL currencies this past while, including the dollar – excepting possibly the Japanese Yen. In any case, with the mess in Europe and China, it seems inevitable that the dollar must appreciate. If it does there will likely be more commodity deflation, a central bankers nightmare.
The SHS pattern that SEEMS to have developed in the dollar chart as part of the overall year long consolidation (reversal?) pattern may or may not be valid. Ditto for the potential bear flag that formed these last two months.
The rapid move in gold suggests there is to be a financial crisis. If so will it unfold as a deflationary collapse or an inflationary blow off?
