Question to users of Interactive Brokers: Do all account holders get real-time quotes on all international exchanges? I created an account online this week; at the end of the process, the website asked for me to select certain data services. Frankly, I didn’t know what I needed. My main need: real-time quotes. Do I have to pay extra?

You pay for each exchange… different rates
Hi cedarwood You will need live feeds from the US NYSE and Canadian exchanges if you are into miners I am neither a US resident nor Canadian resident so both are chargeable What I do is I only subscribe to the Canadian exchange Live feed in IB and get my NYSE live feeds for free via my TD account
I use IB exclusively and dont have either of those subs. I use stockcharts premium service (5 sec refresh) for USA & Canada. Only have a few Aussie stocks so not even worth it there. Had the stockcharts acct for trading already and it seemed to be a waste of $ to pay for those extra IB subs. Use limit orders.
I pay the extra for real time quotes for the Canadian stocks only. I like having the real time in those because I am in and out of them frequently.
