Cycle Outlook on Stocks and Gold
For Stocks, my uptrend fork is still in tact so I added to my longs near the LOD earlier this morning. Just a swing trade here into a projected high between Oct 9-13 and perhaps as late as Oct 16.
Regarding Gold, it appears that Norvast’s Gann analysis was correct and we are now seeing a bounce out of a half cycle low. I have now marked the TC1 low on Sept 11 (rather than late Aug) which makes this day 16 of TC2. Look for Gold to make a TC2 high near day 20, perhaps next Friday, Oct 9th. Normally I would expect the Blue downtrend line to cap Gold but the USD move today concerns me unless it recovers quickly.
Added: Norvast’s Gold Turn dates for TC2 (24-29 days low to low on ave)
09-12 Oct TC2 HIGH (B=10 Dec, SD=10 Dec)
15-17 Oct TC2 LOW (B=17 Oct, SD=09 Oct)
Note: B=Bradley date, SD=Equinox Seasonal Date
Really appreciate these perspectives Surf and Norvast. I find it interesting how they form a confluence with the structure I’ve been identifying for the past 2 weeks. This is a great example how our collaborative and collective efforts can help us all profit and gain further confidence in our analysis.
Hello Mark, I live in Australia so out of sync with your trading day.
I assist Surf finding potential turn dates to match his cycle analysis using Gann techniques, historical dates, and Fibonacci & Lucas series triangulation (as GOLD tends to rhythm to these numbers).
History repeats!
There also seems to be a strong correlation between these dates and Seasonal Dates
The one difference in our work is that mine is based on calendar days and Surf’s on trading days.
Mark, My (our) pleasure. We have been regular posters on Rambus under the “Surf City Cycles” tab in the Forum and have been posting here while the Rambus Forum is being reconstructed. Every asset has an approximate 6 month Intermediate Cycle (range is typically 150-180 days depending on the asset). Each IC is made up of 3-5 shorter term Trading Cycles.
I try my best to track the USD, Gold and Stock cycles but there are cycles for Oil, Bonds, NatGas, etc as well.
