good vibrations
As a follow-up to my earlier post and FGC’s comment about my getting into crazy shit, that must be my lot in life, as I’m always immersed in it. All good shit, thankfully. Could be worse 😉
The most recent examples prove the point. During the train ride I just had, from Gubkinsky to Noyabrsk, the two guys in the compartment with me closed the door. That means only one thing: they will drink alcohol. Sure enough, they opened a bottle of vodka and motioned me to join them. Wanting to be sociable, I indicated just a tiny bit. That tiny bit led to another one, then another one. Eventually we all got to laughing so hard about nothing, them speaking Russian and me speaking English, but connecting where it matters.
After almost missing my stop and then stumbling off the train. I got a taxi to my hotel. A wedding was going on in the banquet hall as I was checking in. I peeked my head in the door of the hall and the people who saw me waved at me to come in. I had the presence of mind to realize that would no doubt lead to more trouble than I wanted tonight, plus my eardrums would not have tolerated the decibels. Instead, I ducked out and grabbed a can of original Czechia Budweiser from the cooler in the hall, then came to my room. Somehow, I have never had the original non-tranny Bud before and this was my opportunity. Not bad!
Cheers my friends and good night to all!
