Europe’s largest condom manufacturer, CPR GmbH, based in Sarstedt, Lower Saxony, has declared bankruptcy. Attorney Karina Schwarz was appointed interim bankruptcy trustee.

The reason for the bankruptcy was electricity prices and the effects of sanctions against Russia

Founded in 1987, the company claims to be “the largest condom manufacturer in Europe,” producing more than 200 million condoms annually.
