I bought a set of tires recently, to replace the Defenders I had.
I was told that Michelin had moved its mfg to Thailand (where many tires are now made) and that the quality of the Defenders has dropped sharply since that move.
I was told to stay clear of the Defender II model, which I assume is the version coming from Thailand. I went with Cooper.
