A friend just related a strange medical event that occurred to him this Winter.

A strong healthy active retired male. He was one of a few that I skied with on a regular basis. He just disappeared from the hill for a few weeks. I thought nothing of it as he lives the other half of the year an hour and a half away and goes back and forth.

He just related to me that he woke up one day with tingling and almost paralysis of his body but could still get around, barely. Couldn’t do stairs for two weeks. No energy and extreme weakness. After two weeks he forced himself to go outside for an hour until exhaustion forced him to quit. After three weeks of limited activity it appeared to pass.

Did he seek medical help? No. Why not? His tele-health call with his MD told him it’s just something going around and it will pass or something like that. It’s that common???
He never mentioned this to me before. He knew my stance on the shots last Winter and that we have no idea of adverse events that may occur. Was he too embarrassed to tell me?

I was thinking Guillain-Barre syndrome as one can have various degrees I’ve been told. He may have had a mild case with no vision symptoms.

Has he been jabbed? Only 4 shots! He is a Centre person and only got the shots due to living in close proximity to his 92 yo dad.
Luckily both he and his wife are NOT TAKING ANYMORE SHOTS!

There must be more of these events out there that are passed off as “it’s going around”.
