The US House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations’ Fiscal Year 2024 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Bill also would slash funding directed to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the EcoHealth Alliance, and gain-of-function research.
Rep. Ralph Norman (R–SC), one of Congress’ most vocally opposed to U.S. involvement in the WHO, told The Defender the proposals by the appropriations committee are a positive sign – but more action is needed.
