Absolutely. It was all about running out the clock until the midterms were over. Joe had to keep up the facade that he would run again because the minute you say you aren’t, you become a lame duck and have minimal power. He not only was never going to run for a second term but he will either resign or be forced out over the next 3-6 months.
We are all familiar with the term “usefull idiot.” Joe has always been an idiot and he has been usefull for the Dems starting with him being Obama’s idiot as VP. They have basically gotteneverything out of him that they could and now it’s time for them to move on. He will be the fall guy. No one is going to try too hard to put a demented 80 year old in prison.
