Mamare what is the general mood in Italy regarding the war? Will the population support the war at the tremendous cost that they may face this winter, ie energy shortages and increased costs for all energy related products and services?

Now we have the perfect theater since Meloni is (until today) in favour of sanctions and the new speaker of the house against it.
This means that they are waiting to see who will win the november elections.

When governments poll their population on current policies (they constantly monitor the mood), they know when a certain % of the population has lost support for a program they pull it with some lame excuse. This is keeps them in power longer by pandering to the electorate. Even dictators like The Turd uses the mood of the people. I believe it is 60% that needs to be against a program and it is pulled. Maybe Italy is approaching that level.
Germany needs to come to the same conclusion and then the EU has to come to the table. The viability of the EU is now in question. The EU can not entertain that and survive.
