IMHO Nothing can stop it Now.
The Bloc Quebecois is a Federal Party that ONLY runs in the Province of Quebec.
They voted with the Conservatives to END The Mandates.
There was a Large Quebec Constituency in Ottawa and a Very Large Group in Quebec City This week
IMHO This Emergency Act will be the Catalyst for a new Quebecit Vote
The last one 1995 was a barn burner and settled like this
93.52% of the 5,087,009 registered Quebecers voted in the referendum, a higher turnout than any provincial or federal election in Canada’s history. The proposal of June 12, 1995 was rejected by voters, with 50.58% voting “No” and 49.42% voting “Yes”. The margin was significantly smaller than the 1980 referendum.
1980 was 60% No 40% Yes
Even their Idiot Premier who acted like he was an Aussie Dictator Strongly Opposed The Emergency
He’s toast IMO but
Is there Any Doubt Now it would be a Landslide YES ?
The Only Pocket of No would be in Montreal IMO.
I think we will see campaign this Starting very soon…and there isn’t a Damn thong Trudeau can do about it.
………………………..
Then there is Alberta…The Most Conservative Province in the Country and they Hate the Liberal Controlled Federal Gov’t who is trying to destroy their Oil Patch in favor of Green Energy
They have been down and out with Oil in the tank and a wildfire destroying Ft McMurry the capitol of the Oil Sands…BUT here we Go Oil is making a huge comeback and this Truckers Convoy Started out there
And the Premier has taken a Strong Stand Against the Feds Over reach..launching a Law suit etc.
They have been talking Succession for a long time..Now the Time is Right.
You can add Saskatchewan in with Alberta too…More of a Farming Economy …But together they Control
a Huge Chunk of the Commodities in the Country and their leaving would be a brilliant way to screw Ontario and the Federal Government.
Manitoba seems wishy washy and they may stay…
British Columbia is the California of Canada…They would be Isolated out there…Effn Commies…starve the bastards
Sorry FOXY , Columbia , GMG , Strider, Highroller and Kewl2…You guys have a cowboy hat ?
Maritimes ?…Trudeau can have them…Also Effn Commies …Maybe the Newfies can Join Quebec and supply the seafood. Sorry Winedoc but there’s room at the Inn
Anyhow Wexit and Quebecit …watch for it…If they come to a vote it will be a landslide !
HERE IS THE COMMENTARY ON THE LATEST POLL TAKEN just before the “Emergency”
Should the Country Miraculously Hold Together long enough for an election Here is where we were the day before the Emergency
PS…the trend all over the World has been Secession…recently Brexit which was an ordeal and before that Yugoslavia which was a Wholesale Massacre . Also Czechoslovakia .
Canadians are “Friendly: so I am sure we could avoid the Ordeal and Massacre…Maybe just a bench clearing Hockey Fight
Eh ”
I am living in British Columbia too, Fully.
I was on the internet these last few days looking at Alberta real estate.
A cabin on a few acres near a small community would suffice.
I like to garden, I like lots of space, and I love the Alberta mentality.
I’ve got my cowboy hat and my six shooter ready to go.
(I suspected but didn’t know that Strider and Kewl2 were BC lads. See you on the other side of the Rockies?)
Ha…I knew that Foxy :)…added you in …Half Dozen Refugees 🙂
I think you have analyzed it well, FGC. I hope it happens; those that want to live in Commie precincts know which provinces to relocate to. This way, everyone gets what they want. You want endless restrictions and government control? Hey, come buy my house in BC, or move to the maritimes. Want vibrant culture and French language rights? Quebec is calling you. Want to return to more conservative values and a land-based culture? AB/SK.
I remember that last QC separation vote. Extremely close. High likelihood they would succeed this time. Which would then provide the impetus for the west to do same.
I agree there is a high % of Libtards in this province, most of them in Vancouver. Interesting poll percentages on the first link, and it proves my theory that those parading around in their f***ing face rags are the ones who support the endless gov’t restrictions. Appears my own age group is particularly stupid.
GMG, you’ve got it figured out. What choices are ahead for British Columbians! I would point out that Vancouver would have an equal right to self determination. Surely, they would never agree to a political association with the very conservative remainder of B.C. Perhaps, as a socialist city state they will thrive, or not. Nevertheless, ports of trade along the rest of the coast will be very prosperous. Free trade opportunities will create wealth beyond any Canadian possibilities. What a future there is to be had!
May I say, Fully, it’s nice to have someone examine the possibility of devolution and separation in Canada. I regard it as a likelihood, rather than a possiblity, but at least people are coming to understand the effects of centralized government. Authoritarians, like our national parties, will press their unearned power, and in so doing will create the conditions for us to disencumber ourselves of the weight of their calloused hand and fevered brow.
Quebec will be first, as they have an historic distrust of our central government – certainly with good reason – while the rest of Canada (The ROC) has been trained to regard them as our enemy. They are not, but they are most aware of the heavy hand of centralized power, and they have defended themselves admirably from it!
When the bribes of the central government cease, as they will when the coming economic catastrophe arrives, then Quebec will bid us adieu, and achieve some measure optimism by declaring that, at long last, they are “Masters of Their Own House”.
The ROC will awake with a headache. A jilted lover takes a while to recover. But recover we will, and when we get our feet under ourselves, we will realize that this entire magnificent country is ruled by the whims of one puffed up city, Toronto. How long do you think that can last?
