stealth break out on the junior silvers (SILJ) from a large inverse H&S. Be right and sit tight
until those trend lines are hit… we should ride it out and see where the dust settles.

I am in SILJ also and it is outperforming all of my positions… and it has no time decay!!! and it pays dividends..
SILJ rocks! No hassle there. When silver hits 21$.. I’d be wary to take profits.
SILJ is my preferred by can bit you in the butt if it heads the wrong way. My target is around 19 for the H&S pattern
And also aligns well with 2016 highs. Very logical profit limit.
I look for trading vehicles that I can hold till I’m dead. No tax event. I’m assuming taxes will only rise to pay for all the free shit. If we go to a wealth tax I’m fucked.
If you need money you just short your position for the amount you need and its creates a credit that you can spend tax free. Enjoy.

What you have to consider is how much junior silver miners rise in a secular bull. Goldcorp rose from 1 5/8 to 57 from 2001 to 2011. 35 fold. Not untypical for a gold stock. Silver juniors rise 3-5 times as much. So it’s not inconceivable that SILJ could rise 100 fold or more. If you never sell and just collect dividends from a much larger portfolio you get to eat your cake too. That’s why the allure of the triple ETF’s or double ETF’s are so dangerous. You could hold the leveraged products like JNUG USLV and never make any money.

What I have been trying to do since the 4th qtr of 2018 is to finalize my portfolio and stop trading and use the above strategy. Owning single companies is problematic because every one of your favorites will be taken over by a big fat turd poorly run larger company and the performance curve of your portfolio which you cannot change will drop.

When I was in college I was part of crazy group called Society for Creative Anachronism SCA and we used to dress up as Knights and beat the crap out of each other.
ahhhh… good ol’ times. I just bought some silj. So I’m full silver (silj + futures) for the next little while.
Futures are taxable. Continuously. Infinitely. I’m guessing you get to keep half in Canada. Are they a better vehicle? I could be totally wrong?
I have a brokerage account attached to my incorporation. So, futures trading (actively managed) are considered enterprise revenue.. and hence gains are taxed 20%. I could also have “investment type” assets. Stuff I’d buy and hold (not actively traded) for long periods of times. Those would be considered investment revenue. Dividend payments from that would be written in a CDC “compte de dividende en capital” type in the accounting ledger. From there I could get that money out of the inc without paying ANY taxes, inc or personnel. SILJ would fall in that category.
