Todays report from Military Summery speculates about Russian military leadership maneuvers, with the aim of creating a new force for a distinct mission. There is also a video report about the latest in small drone production, technology and tactics. Very interesting, Foxy!
I’m getting the impression that Russia intends to move strongly in the north, perhaps the Kharkiv area, and in the south, perhaps Kherson or Odessa. That would certainly shake up NATO. Moving on Kharkiv would get Kiev worried, and moving on Odessa would be an” in your face” declaration that the Black Sea is Russian. That type of mission would explain the timing of canceling the grain deal.
Strider,
It is indeed interesting. I’m thinking Dima could be right; Russia is planning a big move with their most experienced and successful generals. Odesa is already being softened up, and the northern boarder needs protection.
I keep thinking a move south along the Dnieper should happen, cutting off supplies from the west. There must be some flaw in my thinking since it doesn’t seem to be happening. At least not yet.
One thing that stands out is that, unlike the west, Russian leadership replaces top military men if they underperform. Imagine if Lincoln had kept the generals who brought failure and indecision? No Ulysses S. Grant for one thing, and possibly no one nation under God!
