   To me these long term chart patterns are the visual of the long term cycles–in this case a completed cycle is reflected by a completed pattern. It’s like a chicken and egg thing but actually the cycles come first and the patterns help confirm. You can do without the latter, but not the former.

     Agree completely CT. It’s the cycles which create the patterns, not the other way around.

     If you mean down – anything is possible, but in an upward Gold cycle, downward Dollar cycle, following a downtrend breakout and massive rounded basing formation, I’m putting my money (literally) on an upward trajectory.
