In 1964 a group called “Them” released “Gloria” and blew the doors of the rock and roll world. Van was the lead singer. Where the hell have you been, Fully?
Good to hear! He’s a part of our whole lives, as are so many of the artists of our time. It’s almost hard to imagine now. I suppose it gets mocked as “Boomer” time, and I understand the sentiment, yet I anxiously await a replacement. I’m tired of “our” music. I would love for today’s kids to have a musical awakening as occurred seventy five years ago. That might empower them to undertake the fundamental changes our society so desperately needs. Make no mistake, I’m not equating our political “awakening” with what I hope this generation will achieve. I want their’s to be more important, and a thousand times more profound.
Wow. That’s a fantastic piece of music.
Thanks for posting it.
