“We don’t really want Canada to make cars for us, to put it bluntly. We want to make our own cars — and we’re now equipped to do that,” says @POTUS . “I’m running this country. I’m not running Canada.”

WATCH…Paraphrased :
We don’t need anything Canada has Cars Oil Lumber…We are subsidizing another Country for things we already have
Trudeau told me that if we had no trade deficit with Canada instead of the 200 Billion a year we send them…the Country would cease to exist…
Without the US Canada as a country doesn’t work…as a STATE it would work
Canada continues to bow and scrape in order to keep those Ontario jobs. We pay far too heavy a price in order to keep them, and the cost is spread across the whole nation, unlike the benefit. Put a tariff on American cars, and take them off all other imported ones. Ontario housewives will rejoice in their ten thousand dollar Chinese electric run abouts, and the rest of us will pay one half to two thirds for more reliable cars – a massive win for Canada, and a loss of fifteen percent of the North American car market for Trump. As a follow up, announce further oil pipelines to the west coast from Alberta, and disallow connections to the Keystone pipeline. Trump said he doesn’t need Canadian oil. When Trump throws a fit, announce new pipelines to the east coast, along with a stated intent to remove the country from the North American energy infrastructure. Canada doesn’t need American energy.
Just kidding’! That’s what a real country would do; Russia for example. It’s not going to happen here.
By the bye, “I’m running this country” is not exactly an affirmation of constitutional government.
