Trudeau billed taxpayers over $150k for food-related costs in just 2 years, records show
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has found that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau billed taxpayers an eye-watering $157,642 from 2021 to 2023 on ‘food and food preparation.’
“The fact that Trudeau spent more on food than what the average Canadian worker makes in an entire year is outrageous,” When broken down, Trudeau’s weekly food bill costs taxpayers $1,515, compared to the average Canadian’s $288 weekly food bill.
average Canadian’s $288 weekly food bill?
Seriously? or for a family of four?
That’s closer to my monthly bill, and while I’m a savvy shopper, I eat quite well.
Maybe that includes a bunch of eating out, that I largely avoid.
My experience is $1000-1200 per month for two adults. So roughly in line with $288 per week but for a family of two (not as individuals).
We eat healthy and well but not extravagantly by any description. I would estimate food cost inflation of 15-20% during 2024 (tending on the high side).
But prices are already this high BEFORE serious inflation grips the nation due to impending financial crises — Canada is rapidly moving towards becoming a 3rd world jurisdiction.
Imo Mark Carney has been imported directly from WEF to administer the final kill shot to Canadian sovereignty in preparation for one-world government.

ADDED — almost entirely home cooking — minimal eating out.
median yearly income of $37,899 in 2019.
$288/wk = >$1100/mo or >$13,000 yr or more than a third of their budget!
THAT IS THIRD WORLD.
Highest paying jobs are taxed at >50% of earnings, add on sales tax, gas tax, provincial tax, carbon tax and scores of other taxes and an average worker “might” take home 20-25% of compensation. So Canadians are not paid equivalent to US workers and are taxed for most of what they do earn. Of course, there is free health care if you can find a doctor.
Canada has morphed into a socialist/communist state masquerading as a democracy where the “elite leaders” have no problem giving away $Billions of taxpayer funds to foreign countries in support of DEI, WEF and misc other flavours of the day. They also appear willing to sell their souls to the CCP and multiple legal & illegal drug organizations across the country while the Liberal government continues to impose regulations needed to implement one-world government (and thus diminish sovereign nation rights).
It is a third world picture with TPTB out for instant gratification — for example Trudeau net worth has risen from approx $8M when elected to over $340M now on an annual salary of $340K. Very VERY similar to members of US Congress / Senate that have enriched themselves during their terms in office. Corruption and fraud everywhere…….and a civil service that continues to grow as they hide their discretions.
And don’t forget that Trudeau is at least 1/2 a year traveling so the amount would be double . Are we also paying for his wife?
