This morning, my brother asked me if I knew how many houses had been burned in the SoCal fires. I told him I wasn’t paying close attention, but said the last number I remembered having heard was a total of over 10,000. He told me to do a search and said I’d be very surprised, probably shocked. I did and I was, shocked that is.
Go ahead, do a search and see what you come up with. How many HOUSES have been destroyed???

They are counting Structures Not houses
looks like 13,000 is the number they are going with so far

You got the structures part correct, but not anywhere near the correct number of houses, according to what I found in a quick search.
Instead of my sharing what I came up with in a search, I encourage everybody to just do a search of total number of houses destroyed. See what you find.
I actually don’t care enough about how many houses to want to do a search GB.
No one is giving our clear numbers on homes (only structures) but there are reports that
325 homes were destroyed in the Malibu fires
5,000 homes destroyed in the Palisades Fire
estimates of another 5,000 homes in the Eaton Fire
No estimates released for either the Kenneth or Hurst Fires
Fire is threatening to move into Brentwood overnight
The current estimate of total “structures” burned is +20,000
LA is home of Hollywood make believe — and they want people staring at their screens not watching what’s happening elsewhere — so guessing numbers released are higher than reality (hence structures versus homes) — so guessing total “homes” so far in the 1-2K range.
IF the fire makes it through Brentwood and into downtown LA than apartment buildings get included…..
All guesses though with just MSM reports to use as information sources…………

Thanks, for checking into this, K2. You came up with something similar to hat I found. You also came to the conclusion I did, that it appears the reason for the hype is to keep people focused on this, instead of on something else. Anything else? I don’t know, don’t have a view yet.
BBC had the clearest estimate I saw, but others had similar:

STRUCTURES: a term that includes homes, apartment buildings, businesses, outbuildings and vehicles.
This is HUGE hype. Everyone is hearing the big number. It’s intentional.
