All these give off toxic gases, debris and will contaminate the soil likely for the foreseeable future.
Just like we do to third world countries when bombing them back into the Stone Age.

In California, the regulations on landfill are going to create one hell of a mess as these various materials are disposed of.
Not only is there the rebuild costs but the cleanup costs could be massive. Infrastructure rebuild will be extensive and expensive. The permitting may take years. There are not enough qualified tradespeople to rebuild anytime soon.

In the weeks prior to the November 5 election, I watched as celebrity after celebrity vowed to move to Canada. Many of them lost their homes. Now’s their chance. Collect what their insurance will pay, leave or shut up.

The ground water and soil is contaminated in the canyons. Wildlife will be affected. California just blew it’s yearly CO2 allowance in the first month of the year. That will conveniently be ignored as it was never about Climate Change.

I watched when an oil tanker spilled it’s load on the Yellowhead Highway North of Kamloops. Much was pumped out of the tank but what had spilled took a few weeks to test, cleanup, test and take away. California Regulations will be like BC on steroids.

What a complete environmental disaster that likely could have been lessened with forest fuel management and proper fire prevention in the built-up areas. Fires happen all the time in dry areas. Add the strong wind and a spark. This is not something new to LA.
