As well as realization of negotiations that have been underway for decades re: North American Union which was to include Canada, Mexico and US all merged into one country, with governance ALONG THE LINES of the European Union (totally governed by an unelected body of appointed individuals whose rule is absolute and leaves NO room whatsoever for democracy.
So be careful what you wish for — as becoming a 51st state is a far cry from entering into the dreaded North American Union. Canada’s parliament has had a number of high ranking executives negotiating such a union for at least a decade — so none of this is a new idea — rather Trump is using the opportunity to bring the negotiations from behind the scenes into the public conversation.
Achieving what Europe has put into place is a doomed strategy. Achieving what Trump is suggesting may be just one step closer to “one-world government”.
Becoming a 51st state gives the US unlimited access to Canada’s rich resources – ie: water, oil and gas (they do not need most of the 40M citizens who become a rounding error).
It IS a WONDERFUL opportunity for the wealthy of both nations to rape and pillage a new frontier.
The 25% tariff threatened by US may shut down commerce in Canada so that will assist those that are sitting on the fence to agree to such a merger. At the same time, the US is DESPARATE for unlimited access to our water resources — oil & gas is a bonus.
Clearly becoming a 51st state would be better than forming North American Union.
Electing politicians that actually care about Canada could make remaining as a separate country the best option for most.
Ask yourself whether such a move helps or hinders the stated goals of the WEF & UN Agenda 2030………..
