     Excellent Strider! You hit that nail right on the head. What were people thinking all along? That their thoughts and actions were a secret? Like 12:3 says it all…..”Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops”. But people hate bible quotes for some reason so I won’t get into it too deep. But we should all know in our hearts that nothing is a secret in the spiritual world and every debt must be paid no matter how small before heaven and Earth comes to an end. This world, so full of lying, cheating and coniving thinks itself immune from universal laws. Like a bunch of children robbing the cookie jar and then saying “What?…not me!”. But the piper must be paid and it will be before all is done. That’s why its better to give than receive if you want the balance to go in your favour when the last days come.
