Quebec is hitting the brakes on its euthanasia program, warning of rising numbers of ‘non-compliant cases,’ and telling doctors to be more prudent about who gets a lethal injection.
Quebec saw its number of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) cases rise to nearly 5,000 last year — making it a global euthanasia hotspot, where 7-8 percent of all deaths are due to lethal jabs.
As a physician, I find it abhorrent to realize physicians are doing this to people. It’s a slippery slope to a dystopian world where physicians are ordered to lethally inject drugs into people because they are no longer, “ valuable to society”. A physician can administer drugs, along with other methods, to minimize suffering/ maximizing comfort until the inevitable occurs. If a person wants to take their own life due to their circumstances, that is their decision, which I have no right to judge.

Its all about normalizing lethal injection. Just like dealing with our pets. Pretty soon nobody bats an eye anymore. Judges can even order bad dogs be put down by shots. And so can crazy people eventually. Because they are rabid obviously and by then nobody serious will oppose such orders even they even come to light. Its just another medical procedure.
