The people managing Ron DeSantis will now shift to the Alex Castellanos approach. Christine Pushaw and her bitter hate approach will be distanced, and she’s told to get quiet. The tone of the influencers will be told to soften immediately and follow the candidate.

The real plan of DeSantis is to sit back and wait for Trump to be arrested so RINOs can do their best to ensure he can’t run. Rockin’ Ronnie Rino will then reluctantly accept the nomination. It won’t work, and it’s all kind of pathetic, but the deep state works in pathetic ways. For all the DeSantis fans out there, is he really the kind of president you want?

He was going nowhere fast until Trump stepped up for him. He then realized the power of MAGA, and changed his focus to populist politics in line with MAGA. That was the basis of his swelling support. So far, so good. Then his ego got the best of him allowing anti-trump forces to influence him into making very poor choices from which he will not recover politically. He will have lots of money though. Guys like Rupert Murdoch have plenty to spread around to purchase ego driven, money and power hungry RINOs. So DeSantis has shown himself to be feckless, disloyal, vain and politically dumb. He had one good streak of political success following MAGA policies. That’s it! Traditionalists have had quite enough of RINOs. They now figure them out pretty quickly, and just as quickly move on from them.
Think about it. All he had to do was keep being a MAGA man, and he would have had tremendous power as Trump’s VP, getting all his ducks in a row to be president for eight years. The VP experience was to be a Godsend, allowing him to learn the ropes in Washington, and position himself and his people precisely. He pissed it all away because self interested people whispered sweet nothings in his ear, and no doubt, placed considerable sums in his pocket.
In politics, Nothing surprises me. Almost all politicians are liars and power hungry people. Some are true sociopaths. People like Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Victoria Nuland, Lindsay Graham, John Bolton, come to mind. My trust in politicians ranges from minuscule to non existent. Our saving grace until now has been the Constitution, which keeps these nuts from running roughshod over we the people.
