Excellent summary of the historical cycle. Note particularly how long each reserve currency cycle lasted. Quite interesting that despite spanning almost 600 years, with different rates of technological advances etc. their time as the reserve currency ranged between 80 and 110 years. The US time is just about over.

GB and France are still hell raisers for different reasons. Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands seem to mind their own business in world affairs. Nationally they, like all countries, and people, have their issues.
