Day in and day out we hear anti-Western views and Russian propaganda on this site. Be aware that totalitarian dictator Putin is not a glorious savior from the terrible West, but another dictator and friend of fellow dictators worldwide, including dictators in China, Iran, and North Korea. To believe in Russia Good, West Bad is naive and dangerous. Imagine life under a Russian-Chinese-Iranian dictatorship. Do you think you would have freedom? Think again. You wouldn’t be able to breathe a word against the dictatorial establishment. If you did, you would disappear into its Gulag.

My point — charging guilt by association doesn’t fly. Judge each author on its own merits, and evaluate their reputations by noting past errors that are now clear.

In Canada all communications corporations, covering newspapers, radio stations, television networks are essentially government propaganda. They are paid through direct subsidy as well as the overwhelming amount of government advertising that pollutes the airwaves from coast to coast. News readers, reporters, current event show hosts and their guests mouth a non-stop barrage of government bullshit. If a dissenting voice ever makes it through the screeners, he is quickly and rudely shut down. Canadians are the least informed people outside of North, and North Korea.

North, I think we can agree that both sides have a dictator. Both are not perfect.
The difference is that Putin was protecting the ethnic Russian areas that were supposed to be autonomous years ago but never happened. Also the West reneged on installing NATO member states in the former Warsaw Pact Nations. Shame on them. No matter how evil you believe Putin is he is protecting Mother Russia.
When we use the word Ukraine really means the West, WEF, NATO, EU or US.
Ever since the US, through the Maidan revolution, Ukraine has been a proxy for the West to provoke Russia.
Zelensky is just a puppet for the West. Without the West supplying arms, the SMO would have been over by now. I bet the negotiations would have involved demilitarizing the Donbas and the rest of Ukraine. A peaceful solution.
What did the Western puppet do? He is prolonging the inevitable and obviously fighting to the last Ukrainian. The blood is on his hands. Watch as he flees the country with wealth intact. I hear he has a nice place in Florida.
Who are the victims? Innocent Ukrainian civilians who were encouraged to fight or who just got caught up in the fighting. We all should have sympathy for them The vast majority did not ask for this.
The history of Ukraine has involved violence for much of it’s existence as a country. Shame. Most Ukrainians I have known are stellar people.
While way too many in the west are enamored with the corrupt Ukraine government and its military, in fact blinded by such a love affair, the rest of the world, the vast majority of the world, continues to make alternative arrangements to the once-great power structures of the Western nations.

I believe North is hard evidence that psychological conditioning works and is very effective. Once we choose a path of belief, it is very difficult to make a u-turn…or even a detour from that path.
It is well documented that the Allied powers basically left the Ukrainian Nazis alone after the war.
Many Ukrainians fell victim to Mass Formation and did the bidding of the Nazis and exterminated Jews, Poles, Russians and other groups that Hitler targeted.
I’m not sure why Russia did not take care of that problem in the intervening years.
This is the reason why we can’t let the vaccinators, maskers and lockdowners off without punishment. I’m not asking for death penalties, Just a deterrent so it will hopefully never occur again. Wishful thinking on my part.
I think we’ve all developed a much more critical disposition towards all sources of information over the last 2 years. Personally I don’t any source or person because I’ve seen a few of them suddenly turn bad. Like Pedro is saying, judge each author by his own merits and track record. I would add to that that we always need to be on the look out for what is simply errors in anyone’s reporting or commentary. The trading world alone ought to have given most readers here a very critical and cautious approach to the information they read.
