My constant companion for over 30 years
I have had many cats come and go , many dogs come and go
Many Trucks come and Go
and a couple of women come and go
BUT Capone was with me thru thick and thin .
Always happy…no matter what…whistling singing dancing exploring
He even left peacefully
just lay down on his little pillow and quietly went to sleep .
No fuss No complaints .
He never learned to speak my language but he taught me how to speak Bird
We would click and pop and whistle to each other all day .Very quiet around here tonite .

Oh FGC I’m sorry. All creatures are precious and it’s sad that they cannot be part of our lives forever. I feel for you.
(great name for the little guy by the way. Capone. It suits him)
Got to house sit in CO for a couple with an African Grey.
He’d had him for 20 years, and would never allow strangers to handle him.
Until I cam along.
Congo met his demise a month or so after I moved on, startled by a garage door opening, so he flew off. Got a taste of freedom but who knows for how long? Raptor country and winter was around the corner either way.

Birds have such character. All are unique. I’m sure Capone and you had many meaningful conversations over the years even though it may not have been easy to translate. You knew how each other felt.

Fully you are one of the most caring pet fathers out there taking great care throughout the years of all your beloved animals. Cicero, Polly and Mojo will help remain in this short life to help comfort you in this time of great loss. It never gets easier only harder with each passing. My sincerest condolences!
