I recently saw a question posed by an American on a U.S. website. The question was:
Why do Canadians keep electing Trudeau if he’s so incompetent?
The response by a Canadian was priceless:
“When we first elected Trudeau, he legalized pot. Then..then…he… what was the question again?”

My impression is that most Canadians are so used to government solving all their problems, telling them what they can and cannot do etc that they have lost the ability to think for themselves. They also have far too much blind trust, and they smugly believe that being Canadian is the best thing in the world.
That said, it must be remembered that True-Dope really didn’t “win” by much, plus 1/3 of the population was too damm lazy and/or stupid to bother voting in what was surely the most critical election in a long while.
I always get annoyed when someone from another country says “well you elected him, you got what you deserve”. I certainly didn’t vote for him 🙁

I started to give my opinion on this, and I realized it would piss people off to no decent end. Canada is no longer a viable country. It has, perhaps, ten years left before it flies apart. It has become an incoherent mess, unable anymore to discern a common will, and now unwilling to define a common purpose. We will break into parts that have some internal validity – some connective tissue to give each part resilience. We will all be better off and I look forward to the days ahead.
A map was created several years ago that shows the provinces merging into the NEW United States AFTER the civil breakdown between red and blue states. As I recall, the eastern provinces were shown joining Democrat states in the NE and the western states joined in with the red states down through the middle of the heartland. There was a name given to the map but I didn’t pay close attention. US was happy to absorb the provinces for the minerals and water. Alberta would get it’s pipeline………
