   POTUS and his top health officials are pivoting their messaging around vaccination and the pandemic. Rather than promoting vaccination to reduce transmission President Joe Biden conveniently adjusts messaging toward a more rational point of view, at least partially so. Rather than promoting continuous public health propaganda that vaccination helps overtake viral transmission, thus leading to herd immunity the White House and advisors pivot to a severity message—that the vaccine can reduce COVID-19-based disease severity, hospitalization, and death. With growing breakthrough infections, particularly with Delta and more than likely the rise of Omicron, health advisors believe the incidence of severity are mitigated in those that are fully vaccinated as the central message to the public. This adjustment represents a significant change.

   Mounting evidence reveals mass vaccination doesn’t necessarily eradicate the rapidly mutating SARS-CoV-2 mutants such as Delta or Omicron while transmission continues among those who experience breakthrough infections—and this count grows.TrialSite has reported across the most vaccinated nations of the world one surge after another—even in Gibraltar where vaccination was 100%.

   Early on during the pandemic a fundamental premise promulgated by players such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and pharmaceutical companies was that driving mass vaccination would lead to the goal herd immunity and thus an end to the pandemic. But there’s good news: If you’re vaccinated and you have your booster shot, you’re protected from severe illness and death” as reported recently CNN scribes Kevin Liptak and Jeremy Diamond.

   Alongside POTUS’ health-based right-hand Dr. Anthony Fauci and a couple top vaccine experts from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) emphasize now that Biden and team must now manage the onset of the Omicron variant-driven surge, which many experts predict will lead to exponential numbers of infections.

   While several reports indicate thus far Omicron on the one hand far more transmissible, yet less severe a growing chorus of experts express there is no data backing the assumption that Omicron won’t lead to significant spikes in hospitalizations burdening ICUs as well as more mortality. In fact, some indications are that the situation will far worsen by January.

   Severity and the management of hospital ICU capacity and utilization becomes a key talking point reports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services secretary Xavier Becerra.
