CANADA – Alberta Health Services – 1,650 employees put on unpaid leave — some offered rapid testing option
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has placed about 1,650 full and part-time employees on unpaid leave as its vaccine mandate came into effect on Monday.
The United Nurses of Alberta (UNA) filed grievances against the implementation of AHS’ revised vaccine mandate policy. The grievance with AHS was filed on Dec. 6, and another with Covenant Health was filed on Dec. 9. UNA said after a thorough review of the revised policy, they don’t think it is reasonable to apply one set of rules to one group of employees and separate rules to another group of employees.
NOTE: Not much of a grievance — it’s OK if you fire all of them but you can fire most of them and keep others — you must fire them all and then we will be fine with it!!
