Crypto Crash
Reading about this yesterday reminded me of a similar post about a year ago.

Not being an expert in the field, but having a sizeable investment in Ripple, I reached out to the only expert I know personally — Dangermouse. He acknowledged it’s a problem. And when it blows up, there will be a sector shakeout. No doubt. So like the general stock market and the commodities markets, there are problems and those problems WILL be resolved. The real question is WHEN ?
His take is that it’s the ISO 20022 compliant coins that will come out the winners. Think XRP (Ripple), XLM, and ALGO. And if there’s a grain of truth to the persistent rumors that XRP could ultimately be anchored to gold as fiat goes away. Well, you do the math.
Could Bitcoin double from here ? Sure. Could the shakeout start tomorrow ? Sure. But the same can be said about ‘nose bleed valuation’ stock markets around the world. All it takes is the right pin. Does that mean you can’t make money in the stock market until that happens ? Ask Rambus what he thinks.
Lastly, you have to take anything that Mike Adams says with a BIG grain of salt. His stuff is more tabloid than information.
I have a Coinbase account but don’t do a thing with it. Newbie question, why does XRP say not tradable?
The Conspiracy Theory version is the BIG Banksters got the SEC to launch a lawsuit against Ripple and crashed the price a few years back so they could buy huge swaths of the coin. Truth ? Idk. But there is a SEC lawsuit that will VERY soon resolve itself.

In the meantime, the only place somebody in the US can buy XRP is through Uphold.com. That’s how I bought it. Uphold has a very primitive website, but it gets the job done. I read enough about it to convince myself it’s safe for transacting, but I hold XRP offline in cold storage using a Trezor device. For me it’s a ‘buy and hold’, and if this works out, a moon shot. If not, oh well.
I recall hearing a little of this. Interesting, I will look into it further. What % of your networth position size are you holding? Are we talking like 1%?
You have to pick a number that’s comfortable for you.
I know, I’m just curious how you play it.
I usually recommend a 1-3 % exposure to crypto !
Since my portfolio has grown immensely crypto represent 50% of my networth (half ot it is allocated into XRP).
XRP will be huge ! Even Bitcoin maximalists are starting to wake up….
