IAU & DJI
IAU is a fund like GLD but the fees are less , which energy will you run with ?? I try to stay hopeful with the yellow, if I give up will be another nail in the coffin of our freedom. Talked to my amigo in Mexico, he speaks of way greater #’s of snowbirds who came early. Probably many fleeing to stay forever , no doubt here. The Mexican schools open for a week and then close for a week so on top of the regular fiesta holidays the week off is another holiday and the beaches are packed, hotels full to the brim. Mexico has unemployment rate of 4.4% , they are emerging unscathed . 2/3rds of homes have zero mortgage as they are allowed to build their home as the money rolls in, they can weather the storm. I missed the plane but I think I can escape via boat along the coast. Stumbled upon CUSN, still some sneakers out there.
HR — your amigo in Mexico … what part?
Chapala? no beaches there and long drive for most;
and where there are beaches, it would be hard for snowbirds to get to.
Maybe Baja norte? Beaches and expats/snowbirds yes, but the water is COLD.
No one on the beaches there usually. Not in winter.
Rocky Point (sw of Tucson) is usually pretty empty in winter, I’ve been told.
He is in Los Ayala, right next door Rincon de Guayabitos. Mexican gov’t has dedicated this coastal area of Riviera Nayarit an important area and has been dumping money into with new highways. Ayala is + 1 hr drive north of Vallarta. The coast is littered with many beach towns, Sayulita is one that many may know of. Trudeau tells me it is too dangerous, he can bite me. I miss the early morning stroll to the fishermen and purchase fresh shrimp every day, not a worry in the world.
