Earlier this year I emailed the firm of a well known investor about a suggested takeover for one of the companies he has a large position in. I never heard back because it wasn’t his direct email address, and I guess whoever read it probably took credit for the idea. Now months later, I see that the target company just announced a surprise change in CEO’s (often a sign of a coming takeover bid). If in the weeks or months to come, a deal gets announced I plan to take credit for it, if it turns out that the buyer is the company I suggested in my email. I don’t think I will be getting a well deserved finders fee, but will have the satisfaction that a match made in heaven was too good not to take advantage of. It is a no brainer for these two companies to get together. The expected target is Six Flags(SIX). Anyone hazard a guess as to who it is I expect to buy them?
