BC WILDFIRES
PLEASE SEND YOUR BEST WISHES TO OUR COMPATRIOT HIGHROLLER
He lives in the Kelowna Area.
Was Evacuated as the Fire was bearing down on his home
He and his wife went to camp out at his kids place 1 hr east and now they are being evacuated as well
These are the worst fires in history out there. Real Human Drama .
Columbia and Green Mountain Girl have also been impacted .
One of the reasons for this situation getting out of control is BC is making it hard to get additional firefights into the State.
Firefighters from outside are forced to quarantine, and have to have a negative PCR test, before, during and after quarantine.
You could not make this stuff up if your tried.
Time for some lynch parties…but that would require real men, with real backbones.
Very scarce
No way…really ?
incredible
Ya I believe it. Government is far more interested in pushing its f***ing Covid agenda than dealing with real problems. My neighbour down the street heard that another problem with getting fires under control is that the NDP does not want any “private” contractors coming in to help, they have to be unionized government agencies. Or something along those lines.
correct you are, there is a company on the island that has 737 jets that can douse fires but NDP never hires them and too much red tape for the loggers to put out a cigarette butt as they are kicked out of the process to help now.

Many thoughts and best wishes are with you Highroller, Columbia and GMG !
Went through the Cedar Fire in San Diego twenty years ago. (The first of new bigger ones.)
Friends lost their homes.
Fire got to just a mile from ours, and sparks/flying embers were spot starting more randomly. All we could do was watch helplessly from a nearby hilltop and hope for the best.
Saw more of that in Colorado over recent years … heavily populated suburban areas not just out of town canyons.
One of the main reasons I’m back east now. Growing fire risks. And wanting to grow my own.
Thank you fellow forum-ites for your kind messages. Our resort was under evacuation alert for a couple weeks but that was lifted, now it’s just incessant heavy smoke we are dealing with. Highroller, hope you and your loved ones are ok and that you are soon able to get home.
We lost some homes last nite and local gas station/convenience burnt so far for news
Insane.
