Sundance’s blog started with the Trayvon Martin episode. He then took a Pulitzer level dive in RussiaGate and all that was tangential to it. I haven’t noticed too much on 19 so far, but he may be just starting up.
My impression when covid appeared back in early 2020 was that it was unlikely to be serious. This was partly based on the fact that every other “great scary illness” like bird flu and swine flu which were both hyped, turned out not to be the big deal they thought it was going to be. These people have a track record of cry wolf, just like some fairy tale scenario. We all know the authorities can be wrong about new drugs, health policies, and generally, “what’s good for us”. Why did so many people stop being skeptical of the authorities? The government is handling public health just as well as they’ve always handled the economy. Anyone over forty with half a brain ought to be cynical and skeptical when it comes to anything the government approves of.
I’m not sure the evidence for antibody dependent enhancement is here yet. The score for the vaccine is steadily coming down. Right now it’s even with the unvaccinated but it has yet to actually go negative and show a disadvantage. (Unless it killed you already!) I think it will because there is a consistent trend in the direction of harm when it comes to following the government’s advice in this crisis. It’s not hard to argue that they really do want to destroy the economy and kill most of us. So far, that’s all they’ve accomplished.
