“since there are no charts today anyhow…”

Hmmm … can two play that game?

I’ve been looking for an article that considers what SCOTUS is facing …
whether they will even ACCEPT the Texas case,
and if so, how they will proceed ….

IMO, this is an ABSOLUTELY TITANIC matter … HISTORIC ….

The link covers part of the first question … the comments … loads of them … are consistently interesting and worth the time for those interested … multiple pages of them … yes, red state bias.

The Supreme Court exists to make sure the Constitution is followed and adhered to. If they refuse to take this case or find that what these 4 states did when they didn’t follow their Constitutions is okay with them, then the Court will show themselves to be forever lost in their purpose.
—The important part of this case being brought to the Supreme Court is not about any fraud that might have been perpetrated during the counting of the ballots. This is about the US Constitution, which says that the states’ legislative bodies are to lay out the laws regarding election procedures. And this is about 4 states whose state constitutions were set up with laws that lay out a particular procedure that their state has to follow in order to change their election processes. These 4 states did not follow their state constitutional laws regarding the changes they made in their election procedures; instead, election officials and governors ordered the various changes without going through the steps that are specified in their state constitutions.
—If government people can change election procedures without following the state constitutional requirements, which in turn, goes against what the US Constitution ordered them to do, then we will no longer have a country based on Constitutional principles. This question is the important heart of what is at stake and why this case is so important.

If Kamala Harris ascends to the Presidency in such a manner, she will get to nominate someone for Vice President, true. But Democrats wouldn’t have the votes to confirm that Vice Presidential nominee (especially with a missing Kamala vote in the Senate & no replacement yet seated or sworn in). A more likely scenario, but still extremely far fetched, is that Biden gets the votes in the House to become President, but Kamala doesn’t get the votes in the Senate to become VP as Pence would be the tiebreaking vote, so he could just vote for himself as VP; maintain his status as President of the US Senate.
