It’s criminal
There ought to be a law
Criminal
There ought to be a whole lot more
You get nothin’ for nothin’
Tell me who can you trust
I know Pd has been discussed but this seems to be deserving of a little more attention around here and everywhere IMHO.
Parabola….will end as they all do.
If such an increase is hyperbolic (steeper than parabolic), it theoretically goes to infinity at some point but of course it never does. At some point the slope goes actually vertical like a graph of tangent (x) as x gores to 90 degrees or a graph of 1/x as x -> 0.
I think it would be possible to see where that point is by looking at the evolution of the slope. I tried it with Bitcoin late in 2017 and got something like Jan 2018 for the peak. it was not far off and it was just on a roughly measured estimation.
There has to be a scientific way of doing this but it looks like Pd is nearing that point. Now ther can always be volatility and a short term pullback like in gold in late 1979 to throw you off the scent but I wonder if anyone has studied this kind of thing.
One could probably do it by looking at the decreasing time it takes for a certain % change (say it was really extreme you could take the time for it to double, like price in Germany in 1922-23 that time would have got shorter and shorter. That would be a geometric series and converge to a finite end date. Or maybe you could look at the slope dy/dx (dy/dt)and see where it heads to infinity. For non maths people that would be a small increase in price divided by a small increase in time, taking that measurement at different times and seeing how it evolves.
It’s probably quite easy to get rough estimates form the % change method.
I think that with Bitcoin I looked at something like 20% price changes (I can’t remember) and the time for that change got shorter and shorter and converged at some point in the future which was Jan 2018. That was only just after the actual top in the end.
Just a suggestion.
Really, all we need to know about palladium is when to sell before it does a Dec 2017 / New Year 2018 Bitcoin style crash.
Parabola Fully? I got a chart for you to look at…Will post in new thread.
