The 2008/09 similarities are striking. Could diverge of course, but at the moment it’s quite an impressive repetition. The blue squiggly line on the right is a copy and paste job from the one on the left, and so is the triangle. A repeat would see us at $1550 early next year. One to watch maybe ?
I would rather take a step at a time…1300 first.

Yours is slightly further on in time which is interesting.
I still feel we will see OML this month or possibly in September but we will see.
Only with the US taking military action in NK IMHO.

Thanks a plenty for your work on pattern repitition, among other things. While I lean bearish (because this is only the Third Time against the heavy-duty trendline resistance from the 2011 top; it’s the Fourth Time that’s the charm – where resistance or support seems to finally give way. I learned that from Dave Norton of Paine-Webber decades ago.)I find your long-term work intriguing, to say the least.
I’m waiting for a daily CLOSE below the low of the high bar to induce me to once more begin hedging my long holdings. Presently that’s 1286.70 December ’17 Comex Gold.
One favor to ask: when you enter the charts into your post, would you please expand them BEFORE you publish the post? Doing so greatly expands them when clicked, making it easier on old eyes like mine!
